Makers of fraternity apparel provide a unique service because it is specific for fraternity or sorority members only. As such, I believe, that only legitimate fraternities/sororities are provided for.

Also, since it is not appropriate, to say the least, for non-frat members to actually wear such fraternity or sorority apparel, only actual members are provided for. Thus, a prime requisite should be that all similar apparel provided for a specific fraternity should be of similar since it signifies unity or oneness. Thus each piece of fraternity or sorority apparel should be almost the same with any other piece of the same design. This can be assured only if all such apparel is ordered from one source. To illustrate this further, a basketball team wears a uniform, which is exactly the same in relation to each other. Fraternity apparel should reflect that same oneness as a basketball team since it reflects the same, if not more, the oneness and belonging of the member wearer.
